The generation of CWD, its accumulation on forest floors, and its distribution are functions of stand age and management in the South. The effects of CWD on biodiversity depend upon harvesting variables, distribution, and dynamics. Research priorities are identified for future studies that should provide a basis for the conservation of biodiversity when interacting with appropriate management techniques.</style>
<accession-num><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">LTER.1996-80659</style></accession-num></record></records></xml>
