A view of experimental south-facing watersheds at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, NH. Shown from left are watershed 5 (whole-tree harvest, 1983), watershed 4 (strip cut, 1970, 1972, 1974) and watershed 2 (devegetation, 1968).
Long-term trends in annual precipitation, stream discharge, and evapotranspiration (ET) for watershed 3 at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest. There has been a significant long-term increase in annual precipitation and stream runoff and a significant decrease in evapotranspiration.
Data are from U.S. Forest Service, J. Campbell.
