LTER ASM 2009 Program Committee
The LNO has puts together a program committee to oversee the organization of the 2009 All Scientists Meeting, which is once again scheduled for Estes Park, CO, in the fall of 2009. The team is co-chaired by Gus Shaver (Arctic LTER) and Bob Waide (LNO).
LNO unveils own brochure
The LTER Network Office this week unveiled its own site brochure. In line with all the other site brochures, the LNO brochure provides a general overview of the LNO and its primary goal-which is to facilitate and support efforts to achieve the goals of the LTER Network.
The brochure includes brief outlines of the four core areas of LNO operation-Research Synthesis, Cyberinfrastructure Support, Development and Outreach, and Core Services.
LNO set for review
A panel of eight experts drawn from various institutions and five from the National Science Foundation (NSF) is set to review the LTER Network Office’s renewal proposal. The review will take place September 3-5, 2008 at the Universityof New Mexico, where LNO is located.
The review panel comprises a mix of physical and social scientists, administrators, and executive officers from the NSF.
