This position coordinates the Department's native fish program to include directing management and research activities, participating in divisional long-term planning efforts, supervising five advanced biologists, and participates in field activities.
The incumbent will perform routine personnel actions for program staff. This position will ensure the program has adequate resources to meet its goals/mandates. This position will oversee the development and administration of grants and contracts. This position will represent the Department in various inter-agency bodies and at public forums.
A Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional level experience operating within parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment.
Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling nine (9) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.
Salary: $38,563.20-$68,556.80 Annually
